3rd Line Service Desk/Field Engineer – Wigan based

Permanent – 40 hours per week

Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 depending on experience

A highly successful IT Service Provider in Wigan is currently looking to recruit 3rd Line Technical Support/Field Engineers to join their expanding business.

Ideal candidates will come from a Managed Service Provider (preferred) and will have a proven 3rd line background.

You will be an excellent problem solver who knows how to provide outstanding customer service

Used to working in a demanding environment, you will know how to prioritise and manage your workload to a high standard – Paying attention to detail and maintaining customer documentation – Used to working to strict SLA’s.

Technical Skills required:

  • Windows Server 2003-2016
  • Microsoft Office 2003-2016
  • Windows Desktop XP – Windows 10
  • Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
  • Group Policy deployment and configuration
  • OSx Operating systems
  • Office 365
  • LAN/WAN – DHCP/DNS
  • Printer Configuration/Installation
  • Firewall & Security Technologies

Any experience/certifications with Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) would be highly useful along with MS Server (MCSE), Security Certifications, Cloud Products and IP Telephony support.

NOTE – Full UK Driving Licence and own Transport are required and due to the nature of the customers being supported these roles will be subject to Enhanced DBS checks.
